The target audience of teen horror films are usually teenagers form the ages of 15 up,like horror films. although film ratings can often mean that it is targeted at 18 and above. they use young actors to attract it to the younger audience and base the story lines and props around today young generation, this is usually why older people do not enjoy these films as much as they are not as connected. An example of this is Jennifer’s body where they use Megan Fox a well known teen actor to play the young teen girl, her bedroom is full of posters that a young audience can connect to. Films usually it is aimed at both genders but frequently uses things such as sex appeal and violence to attract men to them. Women enjoy this genre as it has a social element and they can scare themselves together and have a discussion about it after.
